Costume Make Up

So I have a slight obsession with make up, I thought I would kick of telling you about my little obsession by doing a little blog post on costume make up.

Rock Star Party - MAC Prep + Prime Eye in Light on eyelid before shadow is applied. MAC eyeshadow in Freshwater (blue) over entire lid, NARS eyeshadow in Night Breed over entire lid, MAC eyeshadow in Freshwater on upper lid so it is slightly visible. MAC Liquid Eye Liner in Black, Bobbie Brown Extreme Party Mascara and NARS Shimmer Stick in Copacabanna to blend and highlight on brow bone.

Horror Theme Part - On my left eye I used MAC Liquid Eyeliner in Black for the entire star, and L'Oreal Eye Lash Primer on my lashes (3 coats). On my right eye I used MAC Liquid Eye Liner in Black on the lid, then applied MAC False Strip Lashes just under eye and used MAC Liquid Eye Liner in Black to give a thick line that extended. Then used Sephora Eye Liner in 8120D Crystal to fill the space between the lashes and my actual lash line. Mac Liquid Eye Liner in Black for the tear drop. Bobbie Brown Extreme Party Mascara.

Columbian Themed Party - MAC Heat Element eyeshadow (Gold on the lid, copper on the upper and lower lash line). NATIO White Pencil Eye Liner on the inner bottom lash line. Bobbie Brown Extreme Party Mascara. MAC Lip Stain in Ruby Woo A10 Matte.

Having fun with your make up is key... it's the best part of getting ready!

Nails Nails Nails continued...

Check out the white with white sparkle Deborah Lippmann polish from London. The polish itself is not as white as I'd like, but the sparkles are pretty cool!

The black is insane, absolutely love it!

My only issue with these is that it's very very hard to take off. I use nail polish remover with acetone, once the polish is off, you may need to scratch off the sparkles.

Hello :)

So the reason it has been so long since my last post is because I went on a little adventure to London and the Greek Islands. It was fabulous! I will share some photos of my trip soon, but for now I wanted to share with you all an AMAZING DISCOVERY!

Deborah Lippmann Nail Polish!!!!

Not only did I spend $170 on my obsession for nail polish, but the majority of it was spent on these amazing sparkly numbers.

Great Skin Secretes

Aside from your daily cleansing and moisturising routine, drinking heaps of water and getting lots of sleep, what else can you do to get great skin?

Well, as seen in "The Healthy Skin Diet" by Karen Fischer, Liquid Chlorophyll is a great detox tool. Aside from containing high levels of vitamins A, C and E, it is a great antioxidant which helps reduce inflammation, improve skin and eliminate body odours such as bad breath.

So every morning, before I eat or drink anything, I put 3 caps full of Liquid Chlorophyll into a small glass of water with the juice of a medium wedge of lemon. While the Chlorophyll does its magical thing, the lemon (mainly added for flavour) kick starts your metabolism and prepares your liver for the day.

Now, the bright green colour of the liquid is a little off putting, but let me assure you it is not as bad as it looks. I have tried Swisse (not a fan at all), the Nutrivital and the Grant's brand's and must say that Grant's is the best in terms of flavour and texture. It has a very light, water like texture and taste similar to the gargle the Dentist makes you wash your mouth out with after an appointment.

My skin was looking more energised and had an amazing radiant glow within 3 weeks.

I also take 4 Fish Oil supplements a day, they are expensive, but are very beneficial. With other brands you may need to take more than 4 a day.
I use BioCeuticals UltraClean EPA/DHA Plus.

Each capsule contains (the below information x 4 is the required daily dose for adults):
Concentrated Omega-3 Triglycerides - fish 100mg
    equiv. eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) 300mg
    equiv. docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) 200mg
Vitamin E (d-alpha-Tocopherol equiv. 25IU)
